Weather
Rain
Students need to dress appropriately for the weather. Students will still have to go to class even if they have nothing to put on for protection from the rain. Because students walk in a line, umbrellas are deemed unsafe, as it is possible for a child to get poked in the eye with one of the ribs or spines.
Temperature
It is good for students to get fresh air and sunshine, so students go outside even if it is cold. (Mrs. Adams and Mrs. Crisp determine when it is, or is not acceptable to go outside.) Each child is responsible for bringing appropriate weather garments (jacket, coat, hat, mittens, or gloves). Students not having the proper weather attire may stay indoors, but they will not be allowed to have indoor recess. They will read a book and receive a defining character mark for responsibility.
