"It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible." -George Washington
The people and places in our history books are real, not just characters in a book or pictures on a map. It is my desire to humanize the names our students read about in history and to bring to life the places and cultures found within the pages of history. I love history, making it come alive and showing that it's relevant to today's students. Helping students view history through 21st century eyes and showing them that the great men and women we read about are evener greater when we understand their lives and their human flaws.
The desire to make history interesting to young people is what led me to obtain a BA in History from Temple University. I am blessed to have grown up in Philadelphia, PA where so much of our American history took place. I am also a lifelong Philadelphia Phillies fan! Before joining Sunrise Christian Academy, in 2009, I lived in Arizona, where I taught Apache and Navajo children. My wife and I have 3 children.
