My name is Melanie Adams and I serve as the Elementary Principal at Sunrise. The Lord has blessed me and allowed me to work in the education field since 1979. I received my degree from Fort Hays State University and continue to further my education through taking courses.

I have been blessed to work at Sunrise since 2001. I began at SCA as a classroom teacher and was truly blessed by the faculty, students, and parents. In 2004, I stepped out of the classroom and moved into administration as the Elementary Principal. It is my prayer that the Lord will use me as His hands and feet to serve the students, parents, and faculty. It is truly a privilege to be able to serve in this role.

I mentioned the passage from Psalm 127:3 above. I do feel children are a heritage and a blessing from the Lord, one in which we as educators should not take lightly. God has given us the opportunity to work with these young children. At Sunrise, we take each student's spiritual and academic growth as upmost importance. It is our job to prepare each student so they can go forward and do the work that God has called them to do. We prepare our students to strive for high goals through academically challenging and biblically based curriculum.
